Frequently Asked Questions:
How can I be sure you are any good?
- I have over 1,200 hours of accredited professional training and several years of hands-on experience. I acknowledge that this cannot substitute for chemistry and personal preference so to find out if I am really the right therapist for you, you will just have to give me a try.
How do you feel about so-called "reviews?"
- Short answer: I hate them. Full answer: While I do understand that some people like to write and share their fantasies that were inspired by this website, I am not a big fan of them and am especially uncomfortable with graphic descriptions. I do not normally interfere with the process of creating and sharing fantasies but must insist that no real personal information be revealed (especially references to location or nearby attractions) nor that any such fabrications include depictions of anything lewd, violent, or illegal. It is impossible to be sure that someone with harmful intentions or who does not understand that this is fantasy, could be reading these fictional creations. Please keep in mind that if you happen upon any "review" of me that I do not acknowledge them as true stories. The same applies for any comments found elsewhere whether labeled as a review or not. Anyone who insists on publishing, posting, or requesting anything against the above guideline will be denied services. The same applies to anyone who disrespects or objectifies me with a number rating on my appearances. See this blog for more about this.
Do you accept tips?
- Of course I do! Tipping is an excellent way to show your appreciation of my skills and nurturing attention.
Can I book a half-hour or 45-minute appointment?
- No, one-hour is my shortest appointment. Don't ask for appointments of a different length than is already posted.
What is your more specific or exact studio location?
- For safety, I do not disclose this information to anyone who has not been approved for an appointment. I understand that some people may not be willing to fill out the form before they know the location and accept and respect that decision. It does not change my policy. Anyone who has given such information to unapproved prospective clients will be removed from my practice along with any prospective clients that try to circumvent my policy by asking others for this information.
Why must I fill out a questionnaire before I can make an appointment?
- It is important that I know in advance if you have any health issues that may contraindicate certain types of bodywork in any and all areas. It is also important that I am sure you understand the limitations of bodywork as well as are able to show that you are serious about respecting policies including providing ample notice of a need to cancel or reschedule. I protect your privacy as outlined by HIPAA as well as by my personal code of conduct. No information will be shared or used for any other reason than ensuring an optimal and safe experience with me.
Would you be interested in any sort of trade or barter?
If I really need an appointment but can't afford the fee, could you give me a discount?
- No, I do not reduce my fees. This is true even for repeat clients. My base price is not negotiable. You can decide how much you can afford to tip beyond that.
How should I prepare for an appointment?
- Be clean (showered with brushed teeth) and in a polite demeanor. Also have correct cash payment ready, I am unable to provide change. You should not ask me what you owe me for your session via email, on the phone, or once you are here, the payment should be prepared before you get here and placed in plain sight before you get on the table. Check my rates page carefully for the length of session you have requested. You may put it in an unmarked and unsealed envelope if you wish but do not write my name on it.
Do you cater to fetishes?
- No. You should see an appropriate professional to cater to those, even if they seem mild to you.
How easy is it to find parking?
- People usually have their choice of (free) spots during business hours. If you have an evening or weekend appointment, please be prepared to look for parking. Results vary during these times.
You seem busy. How many clients do you see per day?
- Even though this is really private and not really appropriate to ask I'll answer it because it is asked so often and I do not wish to hear it again. Not as many as you might think. A single one hour appointment knocks 3 full hours off my schedule. This is because I need an hour before and an hour after an appointment for cleaning, setting up, resting my hands, having a snack and/or a glass of water, etc. I never book appointments back to back because this would not only be a hardship to myself and put me at risk for over-use wrist injury but it would also be unfair to clients if I was fatigued or in a rush.
Why aren't you available when I try to reach or book you?
- There are a variety of reasons I may not be available. I may have a family responsibility I must attend to that day or could have a doctor, dentist, or some other personal appointment. I am human after all. It is also possible that someone else has booked an appointment that is incompatible with the time you are trying to schedule. Please recall the question above and take a moment to consider that a requested 9am one-hour appointment would be in conflict with an existing 10am or even 10:30am appointment. Please respect my privacy and do not ask for the specific reason I am unavailable at a particular given time. I may volunteer it on my own but please never ask. You already know that the reason is at least one of the things mentioned here and I hope that is explanation enough.
